Covelyo helps people discover insurance professionals and start conversations. Covelyo is not an insurance carrier, does not sell or bind coverage, and does not guarantee any professional or insurance outcome.
Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using Covelyo, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use Covelyo for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
The Covelyo service
Covelyo provides an online directory where users may review professional information and submit inquiries, and where insurance professionals may apply for, claim, and manage listings. Covelyo may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may correct errors without notice.
Covelyo is not your insurance professional
Covelyo is not an insurer, insurance agency, brokerage, producer, adjuster, financial adviser, or law firm. Information on Covelyo is general directory information, not insurance, financial, tax, or legal advice. Covelyo does not recommend a particular policy, carrier, professional, coverage amount, price, or claim decision.
Listings, verification, and public sources
Profile status matters:
- Unclaimed · Not verified. The page was created from public business information and has not been claimed or independently verified by Covelyo.
- ✓ Verified. A professional submitted information, Covelyo reviewed the application and license details presented during review, and an administrator approved publication.
“Verified” does not mean Covelyo guarantees current licensing, appointments, insurance products, experience, conduct, solvency, availability, pricing, or suitability. Licenses and business details can change. Users must confirm current information with the professional and the appropriate state insurance regulator before purchasing or changing coverage.
Authorized representatives may claim a listing. Covelyo may require email verification, license information, photos, business details, and other evidence. Covelyo may reject, delay, suspend, correct, merge, or remove a listing or claim at its discretion, including when ownership, accuracy, authorization, or compliance is uncertain.
Professional responsibilities
Professionals who apply, claim, or manage a listing agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, complete information and promptly correct changes.
- Hold every license, appointment, permission, and authority required for the services and jurisdictions represented.
- Submit only photos, names, trademarks, biographies, and other content they own or are authorized to use.
- Follow insurance, advertising, privacy, recordkeeping, anti-discrimination, telemarketing, and professional-conduct laws that apply to them.
- Use inquiry information only to respond to the customer’s request and protect it from unauthorized access or use.
- Never imply that Covelyo endorses, employs, guarantees, or is affiliated with the professional or a carrier unless Covelyo agrees in writing.
Covelyo approval is permission to publish a listing on Covelyo; it is not a license, carrier appointment, endorsement, certification, or legal determination.
Customer inquiries and communications
Submitting an inquiry does not create an insurance application, agency relationship, brokerage agreement, fiduciary relationship, contract, quote, binder, policy, or coverage. It does not guarantee a reply. Coverage exists only when confirmed through the legally required process by an authorized insurer or professional.
Inquiries to claimed and approved listings may be sent to that professional. Inquiries about unclaimed listings are held for Covelyo review and are not sent directly while the profile remains unclaimed. Users and professionals must not send Social Security numbers, payment-card information, medical records, detailed health information, passwords, or other highly sensitive information through Covelyo forms or unsecured email.
Professionals are solely responsible for their responses, recommendations, communications, products, services, and compliance. Users are responsible for evaluating a professional and reviewing policy documents carefully.
Accounts, access, reviews, and submitted content
Professional access uses email verification and session-based authentication. You are responsible for controlling access to your email account and devices and for notifying Covelyo of suspected unauthorized access.
Community reviews
Reviews must describe the reviewer’s own genuine experience and must be truthful, relevant, and respectful. Reviewers may not submit reviews in exchange for payment or another benefit, review themselves or a business they control, coordinate ratings, impersonate another person, disclose confidential or sensitive information, or make threats or knowingly false claims. Covelyo may hold, approve, reject, label, investigate, or remove reviews at its discretion. Moderation does not mean Covelyo independently verified a review or endorses its contents.
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Covelyo a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, secure, promote, and improve the directory, listings, and review system. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backups, legal records, and materials already used with your permission.
You represent that submitted content is accurate, lawful, non-confidential for its intended public use, and does not violate anyone else’s rights. Covelyo may edit formatting and length, request corrections, or remove content.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use Covelyo for fraud, impersonation, harassment, discrimination, unlawful solicitation, or misleading insurance activity.
- Claim a profile or submit professional information without authorization.
- Submit fake, incentivized, retaliatory, self-authored, duplicate, or coordinated reviews, or attempt to manipulate a professional’s rating.
- Scrape, harvest, resell, bulk-download, or build a competing database from Covelyo content without written permission.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, bypass, or interfere with security, authentication, rate limits, or service operation.
- Upload malware or content that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, or invasive of privacy.
- Use inquiry information for unrelated marketing, data brokerage, or any purpose the customer did not reasonably request.
Covelyo may investigate suspected violations and restrict or terminate access or listings.
Third-party services and disclaimers
Covelyo may link to professionals, carriers, regulators, public sources, and other third parties. Covelyo does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, privacy, products, or services.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COVELYO AND ITS SERVICE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AVAILABILITY, OR RESULTS. COVELYO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT LISTINGS, LICENSE INFORMATION, REVIEWS, COMMUNICATIONS, OR THIRD-PARTY INFORMATION ARE CURRENT, ACCURATE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOU.
Limitation of liability and indemnity
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COVELYO AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, PERSONNEL, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, DATA, COVERAGE, OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL; OR LOSSES ARISING FROM A PROFESSIONAL, CARRIER, POLICY, CLAIM, LISTING, COMMUNICATION, SECURITY INCIDENT, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE.
Where liability cannot be excluded, Covelyo’s aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Covelyo during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Covelyo and its owners, affiliates, personnel, and service providers from claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses—including reasonable legal fees—arising from your submitted content, professional services, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of another person’s rights.
General terms and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without Covelyo’s consent; Covelyo may transfer these Terms as part of a business transaction.
Covelyo may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
