CMS NPI Registry source
Covelyo's nationwide healthcare seed listings use public, FOIA-disclosable provider data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES). The NPI Registry is updated daily and CMS offers the public data without charge.

How other professional categories are published
Legal, finance, real estate, automotive, education, and home-service listings are published only after a professional submits a profile for review or Covelyo can preserve a traceable public source for the record. Each public profile shows whether it is claimed and names its source when one was imported. Empty categories remain honest instead of being filled with invented businesses.
Legal, finance, real estate, automotive, education, and home services each have dedicated public discovery pages and nationwide state navigation.
Important limitation
CMS states that issuance of an NPI does not ensure or validate that a health care provider is licensed or credentialed. More broadly, a source link or claimed profile does not equal an endorsement, quality rating, current availability claim, or professional license check.
What Covelyo adds
Covelyo assigns a browsing category, creates a plain-language source notice, labels ownership status, and provides claim, review, matching, and profile-management workflows. Ratings and reviews are never invented.
Corrections and removal
Providers can update their NPPES record through CMS. To manage the Covelyo version of any category listing, use the profile claim workflow or contact Covelyo. We review privacy, accuracy, duplication, and removal requests.
