ABOUT COVELYO

A clearer starting point for finding insurance help.

Covelyo brings professional profiles, transparent listing labels, community reviews, and practical consumer guides into one searchable directory.

01

Clear labels

Claimed and approved profiles are marked Verified. Public-information listings remain visibly Unclaimed · Not verified.

02

Primary sources

Consumer guides favor state insurance departments, the NAIC, and other official resources.

03

Human decisions

Applications, claims, review moderation, and corrections remain subject to Covelyo’s review process.

01

How directory listings are created

Covelyo includes profiles submitted by professionals and a limited number of unclaimed listings created from publicly available business information. Public-information listings identify their source, remain marked unclaimed, and include a way to claim the profile or report incorrect information.

A directory listing is not an endorsement. Service areas, coverage, carrier relationships, availability, and license status can change. Visitors should confirm those details directly and use the appropriate state regulator before purchasing coverage.

02

What Covelyo verification means

A Verified label means a professional claimed or submitted the listing and Covelyo approved it through the directory workflow, including review of submitted license information. It does not mean Covelyo guarantees the professional, insurer, advice, quote, policy, price, availability, or future license status.

The authoritative source for current licensing is the relevant state insurance department or its official lookup provider. Covelyo guides link to those resources whenever practical.

Verified by Covelyo ≠ guaranteed by Covelyo

Always confirm active authority and the issuing insurance company before buying.

03

How community reviews are handled

Submitted reviews are held for moderation before publication. Covelyo may reject content that appears promotional, abusive, irrelevant, duplicated, privacy-invasive, or inconsistent with review rules. Moderation is not independent proof that every statement is accurate.

Professionals are notified when an approved review is published when a deliverable email address is available. Reviews reflect individual opinions and should be considered alongside license records, written policy terms, and other research.

04

Editorial standards for consumer guides

Covelyo publishes general educational content to help readers prepare for insurance conversations. We aim for descriptive titles, plain language, clear scope, visible dates, meaningful internal links, and primary-source citations. We do not publish individualized coverage recommendations or present general information as legal, financial, or insurance advice.

Who publishes the content

Guides are published by Covelyo. When a guide has not been individually reviewed by a named licensed professional, we do not imply that it has.

How content is created

Covelyo may use software-assisted drafting to organize research, propose structure, and improve readability. Published guides include the official sources used and are checked for clear disclosures, internal consistency, and obvious conflicts with those sources. Software assistance does not verify a professional’s license or interpret an individual policy.

Why we publish it

The purpose is to help visitors leave with a useful checklist, better questions, and a reliable path to official information—even if they never contact a Covelyo professional.

05

Updates and corrections

Insurance markets, regulator websites, laws, and individual business information can change. Guides display a reviewed date, and listings provide correction or claim routes. A newer date is added only when content receives a meaningful review or update.

If you find a broken source, factual problem, impersonation concern, or incorrect listing, send the page URL and a description through Covelyo support.
